Just to be clear i lack originality and only post redrawings of things i see in anime/games etc
when i draw something original the result ends up looking like a 5th grader with no prior drawing skills drew it
however when i draw something from an anime it looks better
my original art is not suited for newgrounds as of yet considering how shitty it is but i swear not everything i draw is from an already existing ip

If you're looking for 'making art advice', Newgrounds has some nice guides and tutorials if you dig for them. Some are already listed in the wiki.
Other than that, when it comes to 'growing as an artist' you could ask your more experienced peers in the art forum for help directly.
Either way, you will have to draw a lot more. Make sure you have the time right now before you approach this in earnest.
